The layer will be updated with amended boundaries as they are approved by the Department of Housing and Community Development and shared with VEDP. Local administrators are the ultimate owners of their locality's zone boundaries. This is not an official data source.

This dataset contains the census tracts selected as Virginia's 212 federally designated qualified Opportunity Zones.

The boundaries are intended for cartographic use and spatial analysis only, and not for use as legal descriptions or property surveys. Tax parcel boundaries have not been edge-matched across municipal boundaries. This layer is owned and maintained by the Virginia Geographic Information Network (VGIN).
